Quick overview of Gateway product

"This option is used to construct and edit menus that are presented to INNOPAC users and act as a "front end" to the OPAC and other databases. Alternately, these menus can be called from within the OPAC when users choose the CONNECT to another database menu option." (INNOPAC Release 10 manual, record #18,977)

Components of a gateway menu

  1. Multiple menus designed in the full-screen editor
  2. A set of Key Actions associated with that menu. A key action can be one of:
    1. another Gateway menu
    2. RLOGIN or TELNET connections
    3. Z39.50 or GOPHER connections
    4. INNOPAC functions (such as View Circ Record, Reserves, Library Info)
    5. an INNOPAC reference database
    6. return to previous Gateway menu
    7. logoff the INNOPAC
