On Friday, September 7th, 2001, I was honored to be asked to participate in a naturalization ceremony for 46 new citizens of the United States. Inspired by the efforts of these new citizens and the arrival of our daughter, I wrote and read an essay at the ceremony on the responsibilities of citizenship.
In my college days at Miami University, I was a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. The Epsilon Xi chapter, in fact. In 1998 I was inducted as an honorary of the Delta Epsilon chapter at Miami University. Although my latest job has taken me away from my North Central District home, I'm still a member of the NCD Alumni Association.
