Subject: Lots to report!

It has been so long since I've written, and there is so much to report! Today is my 5 month birthday and every day I see and learn all sorts of new things. This past weekend was a great example...
On Saturday morning we went to the Magic Wings place in Western Massachusetts. They had over 1,500 butterflies swooping and dancing around us! There was so much to look at that I was just enchanted by the place for about 40 minutes. I hope we get to go back soon...
And then yesterday, after church Daddy went out to Lowe's to get a swing frame for my new bucket-seat swing. I get to swing outside at daycare, so Mommy thought it would be nice to have one at home, too. While he was gone, Mommy and I played on the floor quilt -- and guess what! I finally figured it out! I kept pushing and pushing until I got my bottom arm out of the way and I turned over on my tummy! Mommy was so happy that she called Daddy right away. So I did it again for him twice yesterday. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to turn back over, and that makes me mad.
One final thing from yesterday -- before I was even born Daddy got a backpack to carry me around in. He said he had been looking forward to trying it out for a long time, but that I needed to be big enough to sit in it. I think I fit in it just fine, and I had a great time walking around the neighborhood with him. Mommy came out to walk, too, and the three of us had a grand time.
I get to eat lots of new things now that I'm bigger. Last month I started on rice cereal, and now I've tried bananas and sweet potatoes. The bananas were yucky at first, but I've gotten used to them. I really like sweet potatoes, though. Mommy said she was going to try avocados next.
Mommy and Daddy keep poking at my mouth lately, too. They say there is a little white spot on my lower gum. They said it must be a tea-thing. I don't know what a tea-thing is, but I hope I like it.
Did you know I have a brother in the house, too? I really just discovered him the past couple of weeks. He is about my size, but walks on all fours, is furry, and has a long tail and whiskers. Last week Mommy was holding me close to the floor and my brother kept walking by and swishing his tail in my face. So I reached out and grabbed it, and boy was he surprised! He let out a surprised 'meow' and I let go. He doesn't come near me much anymore.
So that is about all. I told you there was lots to report! I have some new pictures on the website from last month to my latest adventures last weekend. Check 'em out and tell me what you think. You can always send me an e-mail or sign my guestbook.
